She created an undeniable change within the eye of the television circuit as well as our lives. She made the impossible the possible. She came into our living rooms virtually and groomed us for the past twenty five years showing us that we have the power, the Fanga in us to accomplish and to feed our hunger, motivating us to be a better society.
She impacted our lives daily with positive thoughts, and taught us to grow and stand massively tall in our endeavors. She became our mother, sister, aunt; she became family and showed us the importance of general literacy and the difference it can make in our lives. Her compassion for humanity transcended itself to some of the most unlikely countries throughout the world and it became exceedingly fashionable.
Deuteronomy 33:17 says, “His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns; with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth.” A rare species the unicorn – that is how I perceive Oprah Winfrey. Her agility and strength to unite people is unbeatable.
There are not enough adjectives to describe this mountain of a woman – incredible, distinguished, amazing, remarkable – you name it she’s beyond description. Her emotional freedom to express herself and to share her life’s experiences even her darkest moments is absolutely astonishing.
A woman who came from poverty and rose to such magnitude only reinforces my dream and being. I have valued Oprah’s leadership, a leadership that was proven day after day, time after time. We were blessed to have such a great entity; an entity that transpired a wealth of knowledge that gave us multiple directions enriching our lives, riches that can never be bought. She stimulated and illuminated us to inspire each other that so that we know that we too can be significant in our lifetime.
Her legacy will continue and I was happy to learn that twenty five thousand oak trees will be planted in her name throughout America honoring her and reminding us to live our dreams, and to keep literacy at its peak.
Oprah Winfrey, an icon, a name that will flow throughout history. A woman who opens her mouth with wisdom and on her tongue is the law of kindness. Your name will live on decades upon decades.
I thank you for paving the way and making history bringing in a new dawn and giving hope to mankind, especially to our black brothers and sisters.
May your candle light burn eternally and may you continue to shine through and true.
You are truly ONE of a kind… Fanga!
I dedicate this song to you as I truly believe you represent the symbol of a true Warrior.
